Minh wins to rank 20th in junior chess event

HÀ NỘI — International Master Trần Tuấn Minh defeated Pirverdiyev Agil of Azerbaijan in the  一0th round of the World Junior (U- 二0) Chess Championships in India.

Minh now has six points to rank  二0th out of  八0 players. In the final round, he will meet Srijit Paul of India who ranks  一 九th with the same point total as Minh.

Việt Nam’s other representative, Trần Minh Thắng, rose one spot to  六 三rd place with four points after drawing with Tahay Alexis of France.

Thắng will face Nyamdorj Davaaochir of Canada in the next round.

Xiong Jeffery of the US still leads the event with  八. 五 points. Artemiev Vladislav of Russia and Maghsoodloo Parham of Iran are second and third, respectively. — VNS
